This spot never disappoints. They have great food for reasonable rates, there is no waiting time even when the place is busy.
Today we order 2 avocados chicken salads and a jalea. the avocados were very thinly sliced very few and hard as a platano Verde the onions salad was not marinated as usual. for the avocado salad, the creamy dressing was replaced by oil and vinager. the worse thing to my surprise the owner tells me that avocados need to be al dente (hard) that is so insulting to me I understand that they open yesterday but a product like that should never be sold. And the attitude of the owner is sad and no professional at all!!!! 0ver 80$ for food that is not edible.even the home made mayo was missing the chicken was mix with mayo out of a jar. This is very sad because was a nice restaurant with good quality food .But this was the second time since November that the food was not the same..you have list 3 clients today. And I am sure we are not the ONLY ones unhappy lately.
The best Peruvian food in the neighbourhood!
Nice Peruvian ambiance at Wellington street. My favorite plate is the aji de gallinita because I'm not a fan of sea food. But all there is fresh and the wIter was really attentive and helpful.
Fantastic fresh fish and seafood, wonderful friendly trilingual staff. Highly recommended!
it's been awhile since I've been here, though when I went I didn't know what to order. this time I'm a little smarter. all the food is cooked fresh and took its time. all the dishes was delicious and treated fresh. The cerviche was great. The yucata fries were always fresh. and best was the churro and ice cream dessert. well worth the seven dollars. Price was decent not cheap and not expensive.also spicy sauce with bread is awesome... tasted great!
The food here is amazing and they serve a lot so be careful :) For sure we are going to return !
Discovered this place when the restaurant I was going to for my birthday turned out to be closed that night, what a happy surprise. Very flavorful food and good portions. Had a birthday churro which is the most authentic one I've had since being in southern California.
Excellent Peruvian restaurant, nice waiters! Go if you want to discover a new cuisine, or if Peruvian is one of your favorite!
Fantastic food in huge quantity! This is a very busy restaurant that serves authentic food in huge portions. I've been to Peru many times and this is the real deal, not gastronomic level but true typical dishes.Best anticuchos in town! These grilled beef heart brochettes give a true taste of Peru.Only downside is that the place gets really hot in the summer. The A/C can't keep up when the place is packed and cooking.
Great food for all tastes. Don't be discouraged by the cozy and kinda old decor. Good service and I would come back.
Really tasty food in a down to earth atmosphere. The papa pellenas entrees are a must! Friendly service.
Delicious food, lovely restaurant and sweet staff! Highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Peruvian food that isn’t excessively overpriced. The staff is always super lovely and will be able to help you pick a dish you’ll enjoy!
Awesome food from a nice familly
It’s a good place to eat Peruvian food they have many choices I tried Lomo SaltadoIt’s very delicious
Great food!
This is one of a kind. A true gem amongst Montreal's restaurant.Always on point with the quality. You will taste so many delicious flavors originating from Peru .The service is very friendly. One of the last places that makes you say: that was a culinary experience. A absolute must try if you want 100% satisfaction. At he present moment they offer an outside terrace as the street itself is closed for Walker's and is gives you nice vibe presently considering everything going on today. Clean and up to health and safety standards
excellent food and good service.
Delicious and authentic Peruvian cuisine in Verdun. The place is quaint and cozy, and the service is quite quick. Tried a bit of everything: rabbit, mussles, ceviche. If there's only one thing you should try it's the mixed ceviche. Super fresh, very savory and has a perfect amount of heat. Suspiro Limeño for dessert was a great way to finish it. Oh and make sure to have a pisco sour with the ceviche, it's a great addition to the meal.
Could not believe I walked past this place and never once did I take a look because of the old Style sign Villa Wellington just did not appeal to be. it seemed typical Italian (nothing against Italian food just have a few favs that I always go to for my fix) this place is Peruvian food!! OM Google the best Ceviche I've ever had. The waitress sorry I think we never ask her name but you can not miss this tall attractive and professional young goddess like of a woman. She took us through the menu and clearly help us make our decision on what are taste was for the evening. We will go back!!
Excellent restaurant in Verdun! Casual atmosphere and cute Peruvian decor. They have a great variety of dishes to chose from. Plates are huge and taste is very homey. Price is very good as you get a huge meal. We would definitely go back again.
Great food and great service
This place is a Verdun staple for me. This is the restaurant I discovered the Lomo Saltado. Beef, delicious vinegar beef sauce, french fries, bell peppers and tomatoes. Get it. But there are so many great dishes. Right down the street from Benelux brewery which we often go to before or after dinner.
Really good ambience and amazing food. In need of a good price quality food? Come to Villa Wellington!
Their ceviche mixto is one of my favorites... and it was on the lunch menu.. niice!
Absolutely fabulous Peruvian place! Villa Wellington offers tasty dishes extremely generous in their serving sizes coupled with fresh homemade desserts that I certainly haven't found anywhere else. I love coming here, especially on cold winter days where my hunger and need for rich food are at their strongest. I've loved everything I've tried so far - even the vegetarian stuff. That's quite the accomplishment, where I'm concerned!
Average restaurant. Salad clearly out of freezer as you could see the frozen cucumbers. Staff who comes every ten min to ask if you are finished when you are not . I wanted to try a Peruvian place and I am a bit disappointed. I hope you get better , good luck.
Out of all peruvian restaurants in montreal villa Wellington is my favorite. Worth the drive. Prices are great, food is always excellent! Staff is always sweet!
Affordable excellent food and a wonderful dste-friendly environment
So so...a bit pricey..food is ok
Delicious fresh food. Very quick and efficient service. Book before you go!
Fresh delicious food, never disappointed.
Classic institution from this neighborhood. Evolved with time still home made feeling with great staff.
Authentic, delicious diverse Peruvian food. A diverse menu that does justice to this underrated great cuisine and offers something to everybody in generous portions!Bonus: For the fans exotic meat. This is one of the few places in towns where you can eat hearts/kidneys and rabbits!
Nice service, good variety on the menu. Personally I think is a bit pricey. I tried the ceviche mixto for 20cad and I had to order something else.
I enjoy this place. It has really delicious seafood. Only issue is the inconsistency. One had a cocktail and the mixed seafood plate on three occasions and it was never the same.
Goog service, big plates but unfortunately there is a better Peruvian restaurant on St-Dominique in Montreal.
This place was awesome, they took us in even when the kitchen was closing in 10mins. Made a quick order and everything we order was spot on. Service was very attentive. It’s definitely a spot I would come back to when I am in Montreal again.
Food was good, sea food, prices affordable.
Great food in big portion. Highly recommend
After living in Verdun for 5 years, my husband and I FINALLY tried Villa Wellington and I am disappointed it took us this long. The menu is really comprehensive, there is something for everyone. The food was so fresh. It came out hot and the flavors were amazing. We tend to favor places that are cheaper, but the service and quality you get for this price can't be beat. A very wholesome experience, we will be back!
Amazing food and service!!!!
Good food, amazing staff.
My first visit but definitely not the last!! Great food (Peruvian) and service!
Good service. Big portions.
It's a family favorite. We love to invite friends that don't live in Verdun to come check this place :)
This is an easy to get to South America themed restaurant on the main street in Verdun. There is plenty of nearby parking (often free). The food is excellent, with a great selection of beef, seafood, chicken or vegetarian options. The wine selection is small, but all the choices are very good. I strongly recommend that you have the soup of the day with whichever meal you take. They have some delicious salads and pastas as well. The restaurant is somewhat small, do a reservation is recommended if you have a larger group, but I have never had a problem walking in with no reservation when there was just two of us. Overall, a great place that I enjoy going back to.
Really good food and good portions
